Mr. Zych

Thank you for visiting the Hiawatha High School website. This site is designed to be an informational guide for students, parents, and Hiawatha community members. Here at Hiawatha, every day is a pleasure knowing what an outstanding group of students, family members, faculty, and staff we have in both the classroom and beyond.

We believe in our students and that all students can and will succeed in Hiawatha High School. Because we believe this so strongly, we have a student-centered “whatever it takes” vision for the school which promotes an atmosphere of high expectations for teaching and learning. It is vital to the success of the school and educational community that we build and maintain supportive relationships that reflect our belief in student success. As we work together, we can and will ensure that success for all students. Please feel free to contact me with any questions and/or concerns and remember that every day is a great day to be a Hawk.

High School Announcements  10/15/17

There is a sign-up sheet in the office for any boys interested in playing Basketball this season. If you are interested, please see Coach Hoffman for an Open Gym Schedule. Our first official practice will be on November 6th.

Seniors: remember that Jostens will be here tomorrow morning at 7:30 in the commons to take your cap and gown orders.

Just a reminder that the library will be open at 7:30 am on Tuesdays and Thursdays for homework completion or a quiet place to read.

Are you craving a cold soda after school?  Here's your chance to quench that thirst.  The concession stand will be open daily after school for a short time each day until our current supply of soda is sold out.

There will be no SASS today.

Seniors - keep working on your college applications and remember our target deadline of November 1st for any state colleges and universities.  Mrs. Winter will be in the library before school Thursday to assist anyone.  For transcript requests, please fill out the form in the HS office and submit to Mrs. Sterling.  Also, make sure to take care of the FAFSA so you have funding for your education.
